Hospitalist and Traditional Practice Model

AdventHealth Fish Memorial, Orange City Florida

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) in collaboration with AdventHealth Fish Memorial are seeking Gastroenterologist Hospitalists and Traditional Outpatient Gastroenterologists to be part of our team.

GI Hospitalist Overview:

  • Starting salary up to $700,000
  • No state income tax
  • The GI Hospitalist would cover AdventHealth Fish Memorial to cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department
  • Ready access to endoscopy for procedures and should be comfortable with all aspects of Gastroenterology, capability for ECPR and EUS are available
  • Out network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease
  • 7-on / 7-off; 182 shifts per year
  • APP support will also be provided in the hospital setting

Practice Overview:

The practice is part of AdventHealth Medical Group. This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 400+ physicians in almost all individual service lines. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for physicians to focus on clinical aspects of medicine.

Hospital Overview:

The 250+ bed facility began as Fish Memorial in 1952 in DeLand, Florida. Renamed Volusia Medical Center in 1994, it relocated to Orange City to serve the growing southwest Volusia County community. Adventist Health System purchased the hospital in 1996, renaming it Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in 1998 to honor benefactor Judge Bert Fish. The campus expanded in 2003, with Fish Imaging opening in 2007. Deltona Health Park opened in 2015, where Fish Imaging relocated. In January 2019, the hospital became AdventHealth Fish Memorial.
