About the Role
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a high-caliber, experienced (or trainable) Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our award-winning Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Team in Daytona Beach, FL.
This is your chance to join a tight-knit team of six surgeons and 10 APPs in a hospital-based practice known for clinical excellence, teamwork, and innovation. Work alongside leading cardiac specialists in a setting that blends advanced care with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
What You'll Do
- Work 3x12-hour shifts/week
- Take call 1x/week, with 1 in 4 weekends (as part of your 3 shifts)
- Partner directly with CT surgeons for full-scope case involvement
- Support CVICU, step-down, floor consults, and surgical cases
- Perform vein harvesting with Maquet Hemopro 2 system
- Assist in high-acuity procedures including:
- CABG
- Aortic Valve Replacement
- Aorto-bifemoral & lower extremity bypass
- Robotic-assisted thoracic surgery
- Endovascular & AAA repair
- Carotid endarterectomy & pacemaker removal
Qualifications
- PA-C or APRN (FNP/ACNP) eligible in Florida
- Experience in vein harvesting, cardiac, or OR strongly preferred
